A recent article by Edgy Universe stated that companies need to “rely on digital marketing to beat COVID 19.”

Their reasons are because clients are staying indoors, because other companies are investing more in digital, and because this presents a unique opportunity to craft a better online marketing strategy.

Their first point is the most significant: if people are indoors and online, you need to be there too.

Points 2 and 3 can be argued either way. If other businesses are all investing money in digital marketing, and you find a creative way to provide socially distancing approved in-person marketing, then you might actually have an advantage over your competitors. And as far as strategy goes, you should always be learning from your current business and adapting your strategy in all areas (digital, print, tv and radio, direct mail, sales, and so on).
